H.O.P.E. (Help Our People Eat) Ministry
Maple Springs UMC has partnered with H.O.P.E. (Help Our People Eat) of Winston Salem, a nonprofit group providing bag lunches to hungry children at strategic locations on Sundays, to pack 100 meals per week, the first three Sundays and any fifth Sunday of the month. Packing is done during the Sunday school hour, after which the packed lunches are delivered to the H.O.P.E. food truck for further distribution to the hungry children around the Winston Salem area. For more information about the program and its mission, visit the H.O.P.E. website.
Volunteer with H.O.P.E. at Maple Springs UMC
Volunteers are needed to help pack the lunches during the Sunday school hour, to pick up coolers Saturday to use for packing, and to drop off coolers on Sunday after they are packed. There are numerous opportunities for additional personal and financial involvement detailed on the HOPE website if an individual is interested in further involvement.
