Sunday School
     On Sundays from 9:45-10:45 AM, Sunday School classes are offered for infants through fifth graders in the Craven Education Building. This hour is full of fellowship and Bible learning activities that help children develop their relationship with God and grow in faith.

Nursery/Childcare

During Worship
     Nursery is provided during all worship services for children preschool age and younger. Every child that comes through our doors is a treasure to us and we strive to provide childcare at such a level that parents are at ease leaving their children to attend worship. Pagers are provided to parents as a safety measure for check-in/check-out procedures and so that a parent can be reached in case of an emergency.

Other times

     It is important to us that a parent is not kept from attending a function at Maple Springs because of a lack of childcare. We do our best to provide childcare for children up through fifth grade in accordance with our Safe Sanctuary policy when there is not a children’s event being offered. Pagers are used for the safety of the child and to make sure that we can always reach a parent if necessary.

 

 

Safe Sanctuary Policy

     Maple Springs celebrates its children, youth and the adults who work with them.  Safe Sanctuaries is an initiative of the United Methodist Church to adopt policies and procedures to reduce the risk of child abuse in the church. We are committed to creating a caring, nurturing and safe environment for all of our children, youth and the adults who minister to them. On April 26, 2005 the Church Council adopted a policy and procedures to further the ability of Maple Springs to be a Safe Sanctuary to all who walk through its doors. Vacation Bible School

     Each summer Maple Springs offers a fun-filled week of high energy, creative learning about whom God is and how He is working in the lives of each one of us. The program includes crafts, games, Bible story dramas, music and more! Plan to attend our morning or evening opportunity.

 

 

Upward Indoor Soccer

     Upward is a sports ministry program that focuses on offering a high quality, organized sports league for children kindergarten through sixth grade while building relationships. This leads to introducing children and their families to Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve through sports. This winter we are offering an indoor soccer league from November through February.

 

 

Fellowship Groups

     Beginning in February 2008 kindergarten through second graders and third through fifth graders will have an opportunity to gather for fun, fellowship and growth with each other and with God on Sunday evenings.

 

 

Seasonal Activities

     Throughout the year we at Maple Springs celebrate a variety of special activities together. Events such as Trunk or Treat, Advent workshop, Christmas caroling, Seder Meal, Easter Celebration and 4th of July Celebration keep us connected in fun ways.

 

 

Worship

     Children celebrate and connect with God in unique ways. In order to give children the opportunity to worship in a space and style designed especially for them we offer a children’s worship opportunity during our 8:30 AM Sunday morning worship service. Children begin and end the service with the entire congregation but during the sermon time leave for their own exciting, high energy worship.
