Adults

 

Asbury Group (Ages Late 30’s to 50’s) is studying the Gospel of John this fall. They are being lead by Rev. Bob Huffman.  The group is discussion oriented and also does Christian service projects.  The class meets in the church parlor, located in the hallway behind the Sanctuary. This group is open to everyone but currently is made up of those in their late 30’s to 50’s.

 

The Bible Seekers Group (Ages 40’s to 60’s) is studying the Gospel of John. Lively discussions and reflection on the word are fostered in this class.

 

The Explorers (Ages 30’s to 50’s) are a group of single and single again adults who seek to provide spiritual and social support for one another.

 

The Fellowship Group (Retired) uses the United Methodist Adult Bible Study Series. Classes begin with hymn singing. These active retirees have monthly fellowship meals and provide much support for one another.

 

The Focus Group (Ages 50’s & 60’s) Couples class, many are “empty-nesters”, that come together to study various topical and Biblical studies.

 

Life Application Group (varying ages) This group meets with the Senior Pastor to discuss each week's sermon and how the Word of God applies to their daily lives.  

 

The Inquirers (Retired) This group of active Retirees seek to grow spiritually by using Biblical studies covering a variety of themes.

 

J.O.Y (Just Older Youth) is a group made up of single adults over 55.  This fall they are studying the book of Revelation, using a curriculum developed by Dr. James “Mickey” Effird.  

 

Pathfinders (varying ages) This group of single and married families seek to provide community for one another while discussing the importance of living out their faith when balancing all the busy demands of life from children to aging parents and beyond.

 

Movers & Shakers (varying ages) One of the newest classes, this dynamic group studies topical events, and seeks to understand God’s role in the changing world around us.  Lessons are contemporary and multimedia, incorporating current events, You-tube videos, and other web-based media.  This is a diverse group of varying ages, open to different points of view, and a regular schedule of social gatherings outside the classroom.

 

Liquid (varying ages)  A recently established group that welcomes all ages, singles or couples.   DVD based studies are used to spark lively discussions around Biblical teachings and their application in today’s society.  

 

Sisters in Witness (Ages 40’s & 50’s) are a diverse group of women who study Bible based lessons that connect faith with issues of daily living. 

 

Travelers (Ages 40’s & 50’s) This group seeks to journey in their faith together through scriptural studies and topics that relate to everyday life as a Christian.

 

The WEB (Young Adults) This brand new group is a place for college students, young singles and married couples. This group uses video-based curriculum followed by friendly conversation.   

UMAR Group provides an atmosphere of love for members of our local UMAR homes to study the Bible and participate in projects.

 

The Wesleyan Group (Retired) uses the United Methodist Adult Curriculum and provides monthly fellowship meals and much love and support for its members. 

 

Maple Springs 101 is a class for newcomers or anyone else who would like to become familiar with Maple Springs.  This four week class provides an informal and informative setting for getting answers to any question you may have about Maple Springs. Next session begins Sunday, September 13th.
