枫泉华人基督教会的历史

1993 年一月，為滿足一群溫莎華人留學生的要求，Winston Salem State University 的陳景福教授 及太太 （春云姐妹）開放他們的家庭開始了中文查經班。由於來的人越來越多，他們開始禱告尋求一個更大一點的、更合適一點的地方。正在此時，神感動 Mary Lee 姐妹為他們與Calvary Baptist Church 搭橋 以便中文查經班能夠遷至Calvary Baptist Church.。由於神的奇妙作爲，一切過程都很順利。一九九四年八月十九日，Calvary Chinese Bible Fellowship 開始了在 Calvary Baptist Church 的第一次查經。

從一九九四年八月至二零零七年三月這近十三年的時間裏，他們通過查經班和GYM Night 的活動，將福音的種子撒進許許多多從來沒有聼過福音的中國留學生的心靈裏，很多人接受了耶穌基督作爲他們個人的救主和生命的主。

二零零七年三月十一日，他們與在恢仁姐妹家剛成立不到一年的溫莎華人基督徒喜樂團契聯合，並在聖靈的引導下得到Maple Spring United Methodist Church (MSUMC) 的支持，開始了聯合主日崇拜。並於二零零七年九月十九日正式取名楓泉華人基督教會。一切都出于神，尽管我们并不熟悉 MSUMC, 但神就为我们白白地预备。

神是听祷告的神！ 二零零七年十月，在圣灵的感动下，Vicky 与先生 Andy 毅然放弃各自的工作加入我们小小的教会，并且 Vicky 成为我们全时间服侍的牧师。一切都出于神，没有面试，没有广告，神就为我们白白地预备。

In January 1993, at the request of several Chinese students in Winston-Salem area, Prof. and Mrs. Kim Tan opened their home for weekly Bible study.  Before long, the Winston-Salem Chinese Bible Study Fellowship grew both in faith and size. They prayed for a larger space.  God provided Calvary Baptist Church, through the connection of sister Mary Lee, and allowed a smooth transition to starting Bible study at that location on August 19, 1994.  In 2003 the Fellowship was renamed Calvary Chinese Bible Fellowship.  Since their first meeting, the Fellowship had ministered to many Chinese through their weekly studies and monthly gym nights.  Many who had never heard of the Gospel have its seeds planted in their heart, while many others have received Jesus Christ as their Savior here.  In March 2007, God led another local Chinese Christian group that had been meeting in Helen Tang’s home for less than a year, Winston-Salem Joy Fellowship, to join with the Fellowship in Sunday worship.   For worship location, God faithfully provided Maple Springs United Methodist Church, which has graciously supported us in ways more than we can acknowledge.  On September 19, 2007 we officially adopted Maple Springs Chinese Christian Church as our name.  Glory be to God!
